Red Bulb of Warning

This red light is aboard HMCS Haida, one of Canada’s most famous naval ships and the last remaining Tribal-class destroyer from World War II.

The bulb would flash red in coordination with the ship’s klaxons, alerting the crew to battle stations during Atlantic convoy duty, the D-Day landings in World War II, and later during the Korean War.
