The role of a unit still photographer goes far beyond simply documenting what happens on set. Much like a photojournalist, my job is to capture the essence of the production, even in the quiet moments between takes.

This was one of those moments: Jude, deep in thought, mentally preparing for the director’s call of “Action.”

Although the actual scene was brightly lit, being a daylight scene, I've taken some artistic license in how I perceived the final image.

By shrouding the image in mood and mystery, I aimed to draw focus to Jude’s eyes, evoking the visual language of 1940s film noir. That subtle play of shadow and light adds a timeless, dramatic quality, an homage to a cinematic era defined by emotion, tension, and atmosphere.
